When you book a manuscript evaluation with us, one of our book coaches will...

1. Closely read your entire manuscript

2. Utilize our research-based assessment rubric to comprehensively...

   • identify issues with the big picture of the story (e.g., theme, plot arc, character arc)

   • identify issues with other aspects of the manuscript (e.g., elements that may put off agents and/or readers, areas of writing craft that need shoring up, etc.)

3. Write an editorial letter (10+ pages) that...

   • is personalized to you, your project, and your publishing goals

   • presents their analysis, including explanations of

   • presents a road map of next steps you can take

Once you've received the editorial letter from your coach, you'll be able to book a 1-hour 1:1 coaching call to discuss the feedback, ask questions, and do collaborative problem solving.

BONUS: The coaching call is recorded and uploaded to a private call recording archive just for you, in case you'd like to review the discussion after the fact!

Investment

The base cost for a manuscript up to 80,000 words is $1,800 USD.

For manuscripts over 80,000 words, the cost is $1,800 plus $0.02/word over 80,000. For example...

• If your manuscript is 90,000 words, your cost would be $1,800 + ($0.02 x 10,000) = $1,800 + $200 = $2,000

• If your manuscript is 95,000 words, your cost would be $1,800 + ($0.02 x 15,000) = $1,800 + $300 = $2,100

• If your manuscript is 100,000 words, your cost would be $1,800 + ($0.02 x 20,000) = $1,800 + $400 = $2,200

Standard turnaround time for this service is 3-4 weeks.
